"Our bodies know that they belong; it is our minds that make our lives so homeless ...
The art of belonging is the recovery of the wisdom of rhythm."
We all face challenges at times in our life. You don’t have to do it alone.
Hello! I'm a registered AMFT, and offer Psychotherapy for clients based in California. I work with a diverse clientele and specialize in supporting individuals who are feeling desperate and exhausted and are seeking change. I focus on assisting clients to navigate pivotal moments in their lives converting them into moments of transformation and value the profound impact that feeling seen, heard, and understood have.
Maybe you are dealing with the stress and uncertainty of transitioning careers, relationships, or maybe you are overwhelmed by new roles such as becoming a parent or taking on new responsibilities. Maybe you just know all too well that feeling of getting more and more stuck in the mud. Or the constant barrage of existential external crises’s have eroded your footing.
You don’t have to white knuckle it alone. There is no shortcut to doing the emotional work that is called for, but sitting in the mud with someone is better than being stuck alone.
Having migrated from Africa to the US and previously navigated the underbelly of the entertainment industry for 20 years, I bring a unique integrative perspective to my practice. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of work-life challenges and the complexities of family dynamics. I approach therapy with a blend of theoretical rigor and practical wisdom, drawing on both my academic training and the lessons learned..
Psychotherapy, for me, is rooted in building a strong process-focused relationship informed by my core values, where clients can be truly witnessed.
I believe in cultivating a curious and authentic approach to life, grounded in integrity and a commitment to vulnerability and mindfulness.
At the core of my therapeutic approach is a foundation of evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), combined with insights and wisdom from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Compassionate Inquiry.
This approach also incorporates an Integral perspective, which weaves together diverse disciplines to create a holistic view of human consciousness, and a Transpersonal approach, which incorporates spirituality and psychology with a humanistic lens. It's an eclectic mix that yields a unique and tailored experience for each client.
My mission is to empower individuals to cultivate a life of happiness, and contentment, and believe that radical self-acceptance is the key to transforming our values and embracing fulfillment.
Life is change. Let's navigate it together.
